Nancie Roahrig with Step Up Into T.L.C. alternates every other week with two
ponies Dillon and Mosey. She has been coming to the Children’s Clinics
for Rehabilitative Services for many years. It is so wonderful to see the
children’s excitement as they are walking into the clinic for an appointment.
The children are so happy to be able to have a ride or pet Mosey and Dillon.
Nancy has years of experience with our clinic children and brings many smiles
to everyone’s faces including staff. She has a special way of putting
families at ease as they are coming into the Clinic. Having Nancie, Mosey,
and Dillon has had a tremendous effect on our families.

Nancie and Volunteers, THANK YOU!!!!! You are truly an angel with what you do with your horses. Paige couldn't have asked for more, she was thrilled with having Dillon at her birthday party and simply fell in love with him, she has worn the shirt you gave her with pride! |

Oh my Nancie, I can feel her precious weight on my legs now. I have a picture of a bird sitting on the back of a hand, It says, you give comfort and receive comfort, sometimes at the same time. This makes me think of that. Last time I saw a picture of Emmy she was across your husband's legs, just like this, I think she has a thing for legs and love.

Chances miniature horse rescue helped this little girl have a second chance. She has only one eye and bowed legs but due to the love and care she received from CMHR she is now living with Step Up Into T.L.C.s herd and thriving. What a sweetie!

Nancie,
We wanted to say thank you for yesterday. Lacy and I had a super time she really
enjoyed you and Dillon and spreading some smiles. Thanks for making it happen even with
the weather. I wanted to thank you for putting that big smile on my little girls face.
MERRY CHRISTMAS 2008, Becky and Lacy

These
pictures are worth a thousand words. Lose my mother and grieve with this wonderful
horse. Healing - you bring healing. Thanks for that gift. Love, Susie
Hi
Nancie,
I spoke with you on the phone about my daughter Maya's 4th birthday on Sunday
July 1st - and you mentioned coming at 10am. We are so looking forward to
you coming and my daughter is so excited about the ponies! I am so thrilled
I found you on the Internet - there is nothing better to me then to do something
fun for my kids at the same time helping out a philanthropic organization.
I can't think of anything better!
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask. See you soon. Thank you, Rachael Baker
Hi Nancie, I just wanted to thank you again for bringing Dillon story time last Friday. The kids absolutely loved it and we received lots of great comments and feedback from parents. It was also an excellent learning experience for the younger children, some of whom got to see and pet and learn about horses for the first time. Dillon did a great job. Some parents commented on how patient and mellow Dillon was with the large group. A great time was had by all!!! Again, on behalf of Julie, Kristi, Natalie, Jackie and everybody here at Nanini Branch Library, we want to thank you for being part of our rodeo storytime program and hope to ask you back next year. Thank you so much, Eddie@Nanini
WOOHOO I finally got to see the picture you sent! It's always great to hear from and now see :) you. Glad to hear and see :) that you are still working your miracles. God is using you and your four legged friends in powerful and wondrous ways, you are truly blessed as am I for knowing you. LOL Gina
Nancie:
Thank you so much for bringing Mosey & Hidalgo to our church event on
Friday July 20th. What a big hit! The children are still talking about it!
One little boy bragged that he had gone on the pony 7 times and on the horse
5 times. If you ever need/want a reference, I would be delighted to speak
on your behalf. Your organization serves a wonderful purpose and you do everything
with a big heart.
You even cleaned up after "yourselves!"
Sincerely,
Lesley Abrams, Director of Children's Ministry, Christ Presbyterian
Church
Hi
Nancie,
Thank you for these beautiful, beautiful pictures. They are a true delight.
The horses are just the greatest, and the kids are so darling. Don't lose
your photographer. She's just great!!!! I wish my dad could have met her. Keep up the good
work. The kids, and adults both need you so much. You give them hope when
there otherwise might not be much. You are truly an Angel!!!!!
Love, Cookie ...

(Before the passing of a great friend, Mosey our Shetland pony and I came
to give this Cowboy a surprise visit. Mosey walked up the ramp to Jennings'
home and when the door opened we were invited inside. Jenning, frail and weak
came out into the living room on his electric scooter. Jennings' eyes widened
and a smile came across his face and he let out one of those great big Jenning
laughs while clapping his hands. Cookie brought out the oatmeal cookies and
water bowl for Mosey. Cookie and Jenning fed Mosey as he stood right there
in the living room among the coffee table and couch's and enjoyed his two
new friends. What a nice visit!!!!)
You have touched so many people with your special gift of understanding (and 4 legged friends). We believe in what you are doing and we believe in Step Up Into T.L.C.'s mission! So stand proud and keep doing what you do so well … the love and support you provide through your work is priceless!! Kim Burgo and Danny Confer
Nancie and Volunteers,
Our Rich passed away Monday morning and it is very sad loss for our family. One of the unexpected happy times of his stay at Peppi's House was the visits from Dillon and Snickers. Their visit allowed Rich to gain energy we did not know he had , and enabled him to spend an extra week of love with his family. Never in my life have I seen energy transferred from one living being to another as I witnessed when Dillon put his head on Rich's leg.
God bless you,
Frank R Wells Sr
Nancie and Volunteers,
The lives that you have touched with your horses comes through in your stories. All your hard work and tireless effort each day is well worth it.
It just brings to the forefront what really matters in life and how rushing though our days, spinning our wheels; trying to move forward really is not what it is all about but rather it is about taking the time to enjoy the simple moments of smiling, healing, and just being in touch with the world around us through sharing our gifts, our time and ourselves with those that we come in contact with through volunteering and our day-to-day experiences. Thanks for reminding me what really matters!
